THELMA ALLAN Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Thelma Allan passed away at the Victoria General Hospital on February 14, 2001 at the age of 83 years. She passed away on her beloved husband Charles birthday. Thelma is predeceased by her husband, Charles; daughters, Helen and Elaine; and a sister, Verna. She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory, her children, Charles (Barbara), Robert (Anne), David (Sylvia), Pete (Jacquie), Wendy (Roland) Siemens, Heather (Robert) Lafrance, Ralph (Trudy), Kinnon (Ed) Shore, Sherry (Bruce) Lemieux, Vicky (John) Hawrylak; her sisters, Bernice, Helen and Betty-Ann; her brothers, Douglas and Eric; as well as 31 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Thelma was born and raised in Winnipeg. She met and married Charles Allan in 1938 and were married for 57 years before his passing. Charles and Thelma raised their family in the Norwood area where they made numerous friends. They enjoyed traveling together and spent 11 years on the West Coast after their retirement before returning to Winnipeg. Over the years Thelma was active in her community and was a member of various organizations and groups. Thelma will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Vista Park Lodge for their excellent care, understanding and patience. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations in Thelmas memory to the Manitoba Heart & Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Wpg., MB R3B 2H8 as tokens of remembrance. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 17, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with Rev. Linda Churchill presiding.
