After the war, he worked until retirement at the Canadian Pacific Railway. His evenings and weekends were spent at the Ukrainian National Home, initially working in the beverage facility. Danny loved to be with his children, and to attend all family gatherings. When the grandchildren came he joined his wife in babysitting in Vancouver. He loved to be with children and take them for treats, take them to the park, or to "hoochie, hoochie" them to sleep. Dan and Anne retired to Vancouver in the fall of 1996 to be closer to both their sons and families. Funeral service will be at the Valley View Funeral Home, 14660-72 Ave., Surrey, B.C.
