Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE KIAZYK (nee PLESH) It is with deep sorrow the family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Anne Kiazyk on Wednesday, February 14, 2001. Anne was predeceased by her husband Michael, six brothers and one sister. She will be lovingly cherished by her children: Peter (Mary) of Winnipeg, their children, Carol Tokar (Jeff), daughter Cassandra; Jonathan; Joanne; Natalie Augert (Real) of Winnipeg, their children Lisa Vandenbosch (Joel), Jan; Liz Kiazyk (Pete Kurushima) of Winnipeg, Joe (Suzanne) of Brandon, their children Mark (Tamara Murphy), their daughter Daizee; Matthew; Andy (Margo) of Brandon, daughter Alycia; her brother Bill Plesh, Valley River, MB and sister Elizabeth Zabiaka (John) and sisters-in-law Albina Plesh, Dauphin, MB and Jean Kiazyk, Winnipeg and numerous nieces and nephews. Anne was born in Gilbert Plains, MB on April 10, 1915. She moved to Winnipeg where she met her husband Michael. She worked for the School Division until her retirement in 1980. Mom treasured spending time with the family at the cottage at Gull Lake. She also enjoyed baking, gardening, knitting and her greatest passion was playing cribbage. Mom especially enjoyed her Tuesday outings with the Seniors from the YMCA. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Unit 2 at the Misericordia Health Centre. Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, February 16 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. The celebration of Annes life will take place on Saturday, February 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 847 St. Marys Road, Fr. Ron Pasinato officiating. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3C 4G2; Kidney Foundation of Canada (Manitoba Branch), 200 - 55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8 or to a charity of ones choice.
