Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIE CROWE (nee GRONSKI BASS) Mrs. Marie Crowe, age 74, passed away in Grace Hospital on February 15, 2001. Born and educated in Thunder Bay, Ont., (Fort William), she resided in Thunder Bay until moving to Winnipeg in 1972. Marie is survived by her husband Monty; son David (Margaret) Bass; granddaughters, Kyla and Aleisha Bass; step-grandchildren, Janey and Paul Pellegrino; sisters, Rose Dokuchic, Ann (John) MacDonald; nieces, Aury (Gerry) Murray and their children, Anna, John and Bill, Heidi (Peter) Strbavy and their children, Dennis and Carolynn; her aunt Pearl Reszitnyk and numerous cousins. Her granddaughters were her pride and joy. Also survived by mother-in-law Phyllis Bittner; sister-in-law Noreen Crowe; brothers-in-law, Ron and Dan Bittner and their families; uncle Wilf (Pearl) Hatfield and family and close friends, Arnold Spohr and Mary Jane Sorgel. Marie loved the ballet and at one time operated the Day-Mar Dance and Baton School with her son. She was a member of the alumni of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. She was predeceased by her parents, Nykola and Anna Gronski and her first husband Arthur Bass. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held today (Sunday, February 18) at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Grace General Hospital with the Rev. Canon Arthur Thompson officiating. Maries niece, Aury MacDonald, of Toronto will play the organ at the service. A memorial service will take place in Thunder Bay on Thursday, February 22 with interment at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet or their charity of choice. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
