EILEEN HELEN FERGUSSON (nee McNUTT) With her family by her side, Eileen Helen Fergusson (nee McNutt), passed away peacefully on February 15, 2001 at the age of 70. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Robert (Bob) J. Fergusson, her constant partner on the journey of life. Family always came first for Eileen, and she will be forever in the hearts and minds of her children and grandchildren, Robb and his wife Brenda of Calgary and their children, Kim and Robert; Heather Baptie and her husband Bruce of Kelowna and their children, Laura, Kevin, Craig and Adam; Garth and his wife Louise of Lac du Bonnet and their children, Ashley and Brian. She was loved and will be missed by a large extended family and countless friends. Eileen was born in Winnipeg on February 17, 1930 and lived here all her life. She met the man who would become her husband when both were volunteering at church activities and married him on September 14, 1951. Children soon followed and she immersed herself in the happy labour of nurturing them and gently passing on to them her abundant wisdom. She was the true foundation of a home that was brimming with love. Eileen enjoyed the theatre, trailering and the cottage. She volunteered for many causes and was active in the church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the Nile. Eileen and Bob travelled the world following his retirement from the City of Winnipeg. However, no travel brought her as much joy as her regular visits to all her grandchildren, with each of whom she established a unique and abiding bond. They were her love and her legacy. Eileen was Mum - wife, mother, grandmother. She was sister, sister-in-law, aunt, friend. Her passing was sudden and unexpected and we mourn our loss. She was taken from us far too soon, but we have no regrets, for she lived a life that was both fulfilling and fulfilled. The family wishes to extend its deepest appreciation to the staff of the Victoria General Hospital Emergency Ward, in particular Hilary, Ellen and Cathy, for their sincere concern and compassion when it was needed most. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation or Trinity United Church. A celebration of Mums life will be held at Trinity United Church, 933 Summerside Ave., Fort Richmond, Monday, February 19 at 3:00 p.m. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
