SARAH (SALLY) HUNT After a lengthy illness and with her daughter by her side; it is with deep regret that we announce the death of Sally Hunt on Sunday, February 18, 2001 at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 83 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Pat Hunt who predeceased her on July 27, 1999. Remaining to forever cherish Sallys memory is her daughter Judy, sister Cae in Parksville, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and "Junior". Mom was born in Wapella, Sask. on June 24, 1917. She worked in the Moosomin Hotel as a chambermaid and waitress. She moved to Regina and took waitressing jobs there while attending night school. Mom then took a job at the Saskatchewan Co-op as a stenographer. It was then that she met and married Dad in 1945. He was in the RCMP so they lived in a variety of places before settling in Winnipeg in 1957. She worked at K-Mart from 1967 to 1972. Her greatest talent lay in being a devoted and compassionate, loving wife, mother and friend. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 21 at 11:00 a.m., in Blessed John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Ave. at Rouge Road, with Rev. Msgr. Norman J. Chartrand, P.A., Presiding. Interment will be held at a later date. I would like to sincerely express my thanks to all the fabulous nurses, nurses aids and staff of 3 North, the Emergency Department of the Grace General Hospital and Dr. Michael Chernick. Also my thanks to all Home Care and VON workers; Msgr. Chartrand; Gladys and Lawrence Barton and Joan McCallum from Blessed John XXIII Roman Catholic Parish. And what would we have done without Heather and all our friends who took such good care of Mom. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to The Variety Club of Manitoba, 611 Wellington Cres., Winnipeg, Man. R3M 0A7, or the Health Sciences Centre Foundation, MS7 - 820 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, Man. R3A 1R9. WOJCIKS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
