PETER GALMINAS January 18, 1923 - February 15, 2001 Died peacefully in hospital with his family by his side. Left to remember him with love is his wife of 50 years Gert; daughters, Kris (Duncan) and Brenda (Chris) grandchildren, Cameron, Colin and Brock; brother-in-law John Bimshas (Dorothea) and nieces and nephews. Peter was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Family always came first to him and he demonstrated this with his actions every day of his life. He especially enjoyed the times when the family came together for our many celebrated traditions whether at home or at the cottage. The cottage was one of Peters favourite places to be. He fulfilled his dream of building the cottage, and then took great pleasure in having his family enjoy it with him, whether we were swimming, walking along the beach or just relaxing. He also took great pride in his yards, vegetable and flower gardens at home and the cottage, which he tended with meticulous care. In accordance with Peters wishes a family service is being held today Monday, February 19, 2001 Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in the garden of Devotion. The family wish to thank all the Doctors and nurses, especially Dr. Jerry Bergen and Dr. Pat Harris for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3E 0V9. "We love you and youll always be with us."
