JENNIE GRABOWIECKI (nee SAMBORSKI) Suddenly, on Saturday, February 17, 2001 at the Gimli Betel Home, Jennie Grabowiecki, aged 89 years, beloved wife of the late John. She is survived by her son Lawrence of Kamloops and grandchildren, Claudine and Larry Jr.; daughter Eleanor (Jack) of Los Angeles and granddaughter Sharon and great-grandson Jonathon; daughter June (Larry) of Grants Pass, Oregon. She is also survived by her sister Lena as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Jennie was born in Foley, Man., on February 11, 1912. She met and married John in 1932 and was his beloved wife for 62 years. Jennie worked at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Gimli for 25 years. She loved her flowers, garden and seasonal picking of mushrooms and wildberries. She also loved to listen and dance to Ukrainian Music. She was a loving, caring mother who will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Winnipeg Beach with Fr. Jose Cabral officiating. A viewing to be held one half hour prior to at the Church. Interment will follow in the South Foley Cemetery.
