LUCIENNE FONTAINE (nee GAUTHIER) February 1, 1916 - February 18, 2001 Peacefully, on Sunday, February 18, 2001 at the Ste. Anne Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, Lucienne Fontaine passed away at the age of 85 years. Mom was predeceased by several brothers and sisters, as well as a daughter in infancy. Lucienne leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 61 years, Rosaire, as well as five children, Louis (Bernice), Denis (Lucille), Roger (Marilyn), Cecile (Steve), Simonne (Al) 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren: Donna, Diana (Kevin) their children Danielle, Conrad and Myles; Denise (Chris) their children Dyllan and Chantal; Doreen, her son David; Darlene; Tara (Ron) their daughter Nadia; Candace; Danny (Shannon) Richard (Lesley) their daughter Deanna; David (Kim) children Tyler and Nathan; John (Angie) Jason (Chantal) also surviving are three brothers, Wilfred, Philias and Jules, as well as many other relatives and friends. Rosaire and Lucienne were married on May 20, 1939 in St. Boniface where they resided until 1965 when they moved to Ste. Genevieve. Mom had resided at Villa Youville in Ste. Anne for the last two years due to illness. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, February 20 at 6:30 p.m. in Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Anne, MB. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, February 21 at 2:00 p.m. also in the Church, with Rev. Fr. Edouard Bonin officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Donations in Moms memory may be made to Villa Youville Building Fund, in care of Villa Youville, 208 ave. Centrale, Ste. Anne, MB R5H 1C9, or to a charity of ones choice. The family would like to thank the staff at Villa Youville for the wonderful care and compassion they have given our Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother during her stay there.
