KAROLINA WAZNY Peacefully, with family at her side, Karolina Wazny passed away on February 18, 2001. Karolina was born in 1906 in Ruda Rozaniecka, Poland. As a girl she developed a passion for gardening, a passion that continued throughout her life. Karolina married Albin Wazny in 1930 and had three children. In 1965 both she and Albin came to Canada. Karolina is predeceased by her husband Albin, her son Joseph, her brother Jan and sister Victoria. Left to mourn her loss is her daughter Janina (Walter) Wazny; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, which reside in Poland. She is also survived by daughter Bernice (John) Bekavac, grandson John (Debbie) and grandson Joe (Neilla) and great-grandchildren, Kathleen, Geoffrey and Mitchell and her niece Rose Nagel and family. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 22 at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. Viewing will commence one half hour prior to mass. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. She will be missed by family and all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karolinas memory to Holy Ghost Building Fund.
