Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCECIL THOMAS WOODMAN Peacefully on February 19, 2001 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Cecil Woodman, aged 89 years, late of Gimli and formerly of Winnipeg Beach. Cecil leaves surviving his beloved wife of 62 years, Nora (nee Cook) sister-in-law Esme Doherty and family Thomas and Pat; sister-in-law Molly Doig and family Joanne, Bob and John; numerous nieces and nephews including special nieces Morna-June Morrow and Eunice Morrow; and very special family, the Graboweski family, Emil and Nellie and dearly loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mathilda Woodman, brother John, and sisters Evelyn Morrow, Elsie Morrison, and Hazel Woodman. Cecil was born in Winnipeg on May 25, 1911 and had worked for MTS for 45 years, retiring to Winnipeg Beach in 1961. They have been residents of Gimli for the past 3 years. Cecil enjoyed 29 years of retirement travelling and spending winters in the southern states, particularly Texas. Prayers will be said on Wednesday (tonight) at 7:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 22, at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Winnipeg Beach with Fr. Jose Cabral and Fr. Art Seaman officiating. Interment in the Polish Pioneer Cemetery, Sandy Hook. His pallbearers will be Ben and Joey Graboweski, John and Jaymes Pawluk, Terry Allen and Wayne Kochie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Health Centre Fund Raising Initiative, Box 1770, Gimli, MB R0C 1B0 or to a charity of your choice. Special thanks to Dr. Wiesenthal and the nursing staff at the Johnson Memorial Hospital for all their excellent care. Gilbart Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
