Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALLAN PETER SMITH Peacefully with his family by his side, Allan passed away Saturday, February 17, 2001 at the age of 93 years. Allan was predeceased by his wife Evelyn in June 1981. He is survived by his daughters: Gail (Jim) Paul, Wendy (Ray) Beger, and Dianne (Blaine) Jenkins. Also by his grandchildren Charmaine, Jim Jr., Darryl, and Lee. Dad was born on April 2, 1907 in the R.M. of Miniota. He was a Second World War Army Veteran. Allan was a grain buyer from 1942, until the late 1970s, working most of those years with Manitoba Pool. In retirement, one of his hobbies was raising Canada Geese, as well as refinishing and upholstering furniture. He loved music and visitors were always received with good old country music. A private family interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Carman, Manitoba. Memorial service will be held from the Meadowood United Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Thursday, February 22 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Linda Churchill officiating. Lunch will follow immediately after the service. The Family wishes to thank the staff of Vista Park Lodge for their loving care given to Allan and for making his stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
