SAMUEL WARDEN MacMILLAN After challenging Father Time for over 92 years, the family of Mr. Samuel Warden MacMillan, sadly announce his passing on Monday, February 19, 2001. He will be sadly missed by his wife Pearl; sons, David (Deanne) of Vancouver, Bruce (Heather) grandchildren, Patti, Grant and Keith, Paula and Kristy; stepchildren, Eileen (Barry) Smith, Bob (Lucy) Lukin of Vancouver, Pat Penziwol; many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his remaining sister Laura (Gilbert) Fraser and many other family members. Sam was predeceased by his first wife Marjorie; sisters, Anne, Mary and Isobel; brothers, Peter and Arthur. Born in Paisley, Scotland, April 9, 1908 he immigrated to Canada at age 14, living most of his life in Winnipeg. The family would like to thank the staff on 5-E, St. Boniface Hospital, for the care and compassion shown to Dad and Pearl. The MacMillan family give special thanks to our "sister" Pat for her dedicated love and care to Dad over the years. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 23 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with Rev. Debra Schweyer officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Reception will follow at Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Dr. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. "Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery.
