CLIFFORD (CLIFF) CHARLES MILLER
Date of Passing: Feb 20, 2001
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD (CLIFF) CHARLES MILLER On February 20, 2001, our beloved husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, cousin and friend passed away. Clifford leaves to mourn his loving wife Dorothy; his daughters, Irene and Marilyn (Colin) son Brian (Elizabeth) along with the rest of his kids he loved from up north, and many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The true light of his life were his grandchildren, Erin and Robin Ringland and Miranda and William Miller. They will greatly miss their papa. He was predeceased by his daughter Maureen Angela, infant son Richard Clyde, parents Anne and Clyde Miller and brother Allan. Dad was born in Winnipeg, Man., on October 17, 1935, and was raised in both Starbuck and Gimli. He later made his home in Selkirk where he resided for over 30 years. A plumber by trade, he worked in the Selkirk and Interlake area as well as making trips to the northern communities. Clifford was a proud provider and his family meant everything to him. Dads outside interests were varied and included sports which he watched, played and coached but his "thing" was his love for old time fiddling and jigging. Even before the kids left home, Cliff and Dorothy were gone to the various communities to attend the dances and fiddling competitions. Dad contributed even more by calling for the square dances - his presence at these many events will be greatly missed. Friends may call for viewing on Thursday, February 22 (tonight) from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the Selkirk United Church with Rev. barb janes presiding. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to both the paramedics and to the Selkirk General Hospital emergency staff. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, Man., R3C 9Z9. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
