Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM JAMES BARKER On February 2, 2001, Mr. W. J. Barker of Camrose passed away at the age of 74 after a happy and active life. He leaves to miss him dearly his loving wife Joyce R. (Barron) son William (Maggie) daughters, Alison (Cliff), Alexandra (Tony) and Andrea (Richard) grandchildren, Bill, Megan, Richard, Renee and Julianne and stepgrandchildren, Trevor, Alison and Sheri. Bill is also survived by his twin brother Wilbur (Bud) (Joyce) sisters, Alice (John) and Patsy (Frank) plus extended family members. Bill retired from the RCAF with the rank of Captain. He spent 10 years as Deputy Ministers Auditor with the Department of National Defence in Winnipeg and Edmonton and recently received the Peace Keeping Medal of Canada. Bills love of reading led him to open Bills Book Exchange as his retirement project - his customers became his friends. Bill recently held the position of President of the Battle River Shrine Club Al Shamal. He was a past master of the Masonic Lodge (Camrose #37) and was a member of the Canadian Legion. Cremation has taken place and there will be no public service. Grateful thanks to Dr. G. Tober, the dedicated staff at St. Marys Hospital, Home Care attendants and Rev. Stephen Haugland.
