She immigrated to Canada with them in 1928 where she married John in 1935. After raising their family, Mom was able to convince Dad to spend many happy winters in their home in Arizona. Moms main focus in life was her family whom she nurtured and cherished. This love was returned in full measure by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Next to her family, her passion was entertaining and the Biberdorf home was known for its unconditional hospitality. Cooking was her specialty. Countless happy hours were spent by many around her well-laden dinner table. Mom was also a very active member of the Lutheran Church of the Cross for many years. Her faith remained steadfast and was a tremendous comfort to her in the firm belief that she would in death be re-united with her beloved husband John. The family wishes to thank all the staff on 2E at Deer Lodge Centre, especially Barb the Anglican chaplain and Moms favourite nurse, Pearl. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Cross Memorial Fund, 560 Arlington St., Winnipeg MB R3G 1Z5 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
