Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) SEGAL William Segal peacefully passed away on February 9, 2001 at the age of 90 at Richmond General Hospital, Richmond, B.C. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his wife of 63 years, Connie, his children Darryl (Colette), Denny (Louise McNair), Debi (Walter Sweeny) grandchildren, Tammy, Lisa, Ashley, Dylan and Brittany; brothers, Ben (Lil), Maurice (Pearl), Allen and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Dwight, sisters, Kitty (Maurice) Raisen, Lil (Chris) Culshaw and sister-in-law Roberta. Bill was born in Edenbridge, Sask. and lived in Saskatchewan until 1956, where he was a grain buyer for Searle Grain, hotel owner in Ridgedale, Massey Harris dealer in Choiceland and Nipawin. He then moved to Winnipeg, Man. and eventually to California and British Columbia, where he was involved in many businesses in the intervening years. Bill had a zest for life, a constant smile, laughing and enjoying those around him no matter how he felt. He shall be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services were held at Mountainview Cemetery, Vancouver, B.C. Pallbearers were Harry Segal, Gary Segal, Dylan Segal, Brent Rykiss, Shale Lachter and David Nerman. Donations in Bills memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
