Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE INGEBORD ATAMANCHUK Elsie Ingebord Atamanchuk, beloved wife of John of Lethbridge, AB passed away at St. Michaels Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at the age of 78 years. She is survived by her husband John; children, Bob, Connie and Norman; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Elsie was predeceased by her daughter Arlene. She was born in Winnipeg and raised in the Homewood area along with one brother and four sisters. Elsie moved to Winnipeg where she eventually found work at Eatons; and her sisters were there for support. She married John after the war, and raised four children in locations such as Winnipeg, Cloverdale, Lethbridge, Gimli, and back to Lethbridge. (John had decided to change jobs and locations.) After the children were older, she decided she liked to travel and visited her siblings and her children often and left John to tend the tomatoes at home. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, February 22 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 327-10 Street S., Lethbridge. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. at Christensen Salmon Funeral Chapel, 327-10 Street S., Lethbridge, with Rev. Peter Walker officiating. Cremation.
