EDWARD ROBERT Peacefully, with his family at his side, Edward (Edouard) Joseph Adelard Robert passed away on February 24, 2001 at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 65, following a courageous two-year battle with cancer. He was born in Aubigny, Man., on January 27, 1936. Edward is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years Eileen (nee Baldwin) daughter Gloria of Aubigny; sons, David (Janet) of Winnipeg, Edouard (Doris) and granddaughters, Brittni and Kate of North Battleford, Sask., and Stanley (Carene) and granddaughter Breanna of Ste. Agathe, Man; brothers, Gabriel (Karen), Frank (Doris) and Ovide (Denise) sisters, Therese, Simone (Adelard), Rita (friend Josef), Berthe (Herman), Aurore (Robert), Jeanne (Paul) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Gabrielle and Stanislaus Robert. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m., in the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m., in the Aubigny Roman Catholic Church, Aubigny, Man., with Father Paul Campeau presiding. Interment to follow in the Aubigny Parish Cemetery. The family would like to express our gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff at Morris Hospital, Health Sciences Centre and the Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion.
