ANNA DYBEK (PAWUL) Peacefully, on February 22, 2001, at the Middlechurch Nursing Home, Anna passed away at the age of 84. Anna was predeceased by her parents, Jan and Katarzyna; her first husband Stanislaw, second husband Stanley; and her two brothers, Antoni and Andrzej in Poland. Anna is survived by her nephew Ted and his wife Jane of Winnipeg; her great-nephews, Robert and Tom; her brother Franciszek; her sisters, Maria, Genowefa, Marcela, Emilia of Poland; her cousins, Frances Fleck, Mary and Joe Maykut; and her two stepdaughters, Barbra Hucaluk and Mary Mayda, and their families. Anna was born in Poland on July 29, 1916. Throughout her entire life she was a strong and independent woman. Her first husband passed away within the first year of their marriage. Yet she persevered and successfully ran her own business for ten years. Then in 1961, she left all that behind for a new life and husband in Canada. She was widowed again after ten years of marriage. She worked at the Golden Door Nursing Home until her retirement 27 years later. At her North End home, she took great pride in her gardening. Her retirement was cut short by a stroke that made it difficult for her to live on her own. The last place where she called home was Middlechurch Nursing Home. She was a member of Holy Ghost Church and a devoted Roman Catholic. Her nephew Ted and his wife Jane would like to thank the staff at Middlechurch Nursing Home, West-1, for all the help and support through Annas difficult times. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave., with viewing prior to service. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Wieczny odpoczynek racz jej dac Panie. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
