SAM GREENBERG It is with regret and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Sam Greenberg, on February 23, 2001, at the Seven Oaks Hospital. There are no words to describe this gentle and compassionate man who always put his family first in his life. A man, who in his quiet way, always gave to the needy with a full hand and without fanfare. Left to mourn him is his wife and best friend of 56 years, Myrtle; children, Michelle Grad (Sid), Suzan, Harvey (Shawnee) and grandsons, Les and Robert Grad and Will Greenberg; brother Abe Greenberg and many nieces and nephews. Sam was predeceased by his parents Hymie and Lily Greenberg; brother Ben; sisters, Eva Bercovitch and Sarah Greenberg. Sam was a charter member of the West Kildonan Lions Club, Brandais Lodge, General Monash Legion, Jewish War Veterans, Masons, and with the Directed Staff of the Shriners. He also belonged to many Jewish organizations. Pallbearers were Hart Greenberg, Sid Grad, Robert and Les Grad, Bruce Granove and Richard Stieman. A very special thank you to Dr. Sheldon Koven for his care and compassion in our time of need. Rest in peace, Sammy Darling Youll be in our hearts forever
