JOSEPHINE MARY NELSON (nee MILLER) Our beloved mother passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at the Beausejour District Hospital, Beausejour, MB. Josephine was born and raised in Tyndall, MB and lived in her home until September 2000at that time she moved to Stony Plains due to her health. Surviving her is son Bob (Sophie), grandson Jim (Angie), granddaughters, Cindy Wild (John), Sharon Houle (Martin) six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, all from Prince Albert, SK. Also surviving is a daughter Christine Cormier (Allan) of Winnipeg; brother John Miller of Kenora, ON; sisters, Pat Siegers of Sudbury, ON, Rose Wenzoski of Tyndall, and Doris Schick of Burbank, CA, as well as many nieces and nephews. Josephine was predeceased by her husband Herman; by her parents, Stanley and Helen Miller, and by an infant son Martin; brothers, Adolph and Stan Miller. Gardening, flowers, baking pies and peanut butter cookies were her enjoyment. For many years mom was employed at the Middlechurch Nursing Home in Winnipeg. The family would like to thank the staff of the Stony Plains, Beausejour Hospital, Dr. Campbell and Ken Chuthe home care co-ordinator, for all of the help, care and compassion shown to our mother. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 26 at 1:00 p.m. from Russell Funeral Homes Chapel in Beausejour, with Rev. Kelly Thomson officiating. A private interment will be held in the Tyndall Cemetery prior to services. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2L 9Z9 or to the Beausejour District Hospital, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0 or to a charity of ones choice.
