STEVE KEDLARCHUK It has saddened our hearts to announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather, on Friday, February 23, 2001 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Palliative Care Unit at the age of 77 years. Leaving to mourn his passing is his wife of 55 years, Anna Joan; son Stephen; grandsons, Brandon and Stephen III; also sisters, Anne (Morris) Halasis, Pauline Kundeus and Mary Schmidt; brothers, Ray (Martha), Frank and Alex and many nieces and nephews. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Antony and Michelina Kedlarchuk; sister Kay; brothers, Metro, Paul, Johnny; also step-brothers, Mike, Alex and Joe. Steve was born February 2, 1924 in Massy River, MB. He was employed for 46 years at Burns Food Allied, now known as Maple Leaf and retired in 1989. He loved to travel a lot and garden, helping his brother-in-law Michael Fedirchuk. Steve was a kind, loving man, had a heart of gold. The family would like to thank Dr. T. Sang, Dr. Tanner, Dr. Taraska, Dr. Jason, Dr. McCracken, Dr. Chowdry and staff of CancerCare, the staff at Seven Oaks, Palliative Care for their kind help and also many thanks to our precious neighbours, Wally and Nell Diduck and their son Robert, Ray and Jeanna VanKootan for being there for us. We would also like to thank our sisters, Molly and Phyllis, all Steves family for being supportive at the time of need. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m., at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 28 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave., with a Basilian Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Kevin Johnson, Vaughn Lent, Paul Kundeus, Johnny Evaniuk, Rickie Tomchuk and Robert Schmidt.
