ALICE ELLEN CLAGUE Peacefully after a brief and courageous battle with cancer on the 24th day of February, 2001 Alice Ellen Clague (nee Shaver) age 76, quietly passed away at home. Alice is survived by her husband of 51 years Stanley and her three children, Brenda (Ray Carriere), Brent Clague (Debbie), Donna (Wes Alleyne) and her five grandchildren, Adam, Natalie, Amy Carriere and Meaghan and Sean Alleyne. Alice is also survived by her brother Vern Shaver and sister Joan McDonald. Alice was predeceased by one son Barry in 1953 and two sisters, Lois and Eileen. Besides being a great wife, mother and grandma Alice worked several years at the Western Egg Company followed by fifteen years at Great West Life in Food Services prior to retirement. A Service of Remembrance will take place on Thursday, March 1 at 2:00 p.m., in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Alices memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
