Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySYLVIA EMILY TAYLOR (nee HYKAWY) Peacefully, on Saturday, February 24, 2001, Sylvia Taylor, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. She leaves to mourn, her son Dale; her husband Philip; her sister Phyllis (Van) Todd; her two brothers, Isadore (Nadia) and Gerald (Violet) many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Sylvia was predeceased by her parents, Mike and Olga Hykawy. She was born, raised and educated in Garland, MB. She worked many years with MTS until her illness forced her to retire. In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling, curling and a variety of other sports. She also enjoyed doing crafts and playing bingo. Sylvia was a very warm and compassionate woman and loving mother and everyone will deeply miss her. The family wish to thank the staff of Maples Personal Care Home and the staff at Health Sciences Centre for all their care and compassion. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 27 at 1:30 p.m., at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Rev. Fr. Myron Klysh officiating. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Sylvias memory to Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Wpg., R3E 0V9.
