Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRALPH KAMINSKI Suddenly on Saturday, February 24, 2001, Ralph, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at home in Arborg at 88 years young. Ralph was born in Gimli on July 15, 1912. In his earlier years, he worked for Palm Dairies, Burns and co-owned the K&K store in Gimli. Then he went into the hotel business and worked at the Gimli Hotel, Lundar and managed the Arborg hotel for sixteen years till his retirement in 1972. Mom and Dad spent their retirement years in their own home in Arborg and truly enjoyed keeping their house and yard beautiful. No one could cut grass better than dad. His daily walks uptown to have coffee at the co-op and Chicken Chef, his jokes, teasing and wit will be missed by his many friends and family. He was always ready to play a hand of crib and he usually won, much to his delight. He was always ready and willing to help anyone whether it be driving friends to doctor appointments or delivering Christmas hampers. Ralph will be deeply missed by his wife Mary of 66 years; son Carl (Liz) daughter Phyllis Einarson; grandchildren, Dwayne (Gwen), Jacquie (Brad), Tracey (Brent), Todd (Katrina) and Jeff; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Blair Kaminski; Kaitlyn, Shawnee, Braden and Taylor Bjornson, Kara Johnson, Randi and Hannah Wright and Tianna, Trevor and Trent Kaminski; also surviving are sisters, Carol Schmerk, Mary (Ed) Wyspianski, Ann (Mike) Penziwol; brothers, Walter (Vicky) and Ben (Rose) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Petrunela; brothers, Joe and Jack; sister Binnie Berezowski and son-in-law Wally Einerson. At Dads request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arborg Community Hall. Rev. Fr. Mark Gnutel will officiate. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Wpg. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
