PHYLLIS JOY MORRISON (nee LEONARD) January 15, 1931 - February 24, 2001 After a brief illness and with family by her side, Phyllis passed away at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Gordon Morrison in February 1998; her parents, John and Rosetta Leonard and four brothers, Roy, Henry, Jack and Donald; and by one sister Dorothy. She is survived by three sons, Ray (Paulette), Ronald and Darwin (Sharon) and by one daughter Brenda MacPherson (Jim). Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Mark, Trisha and Meghann Morrison, Leigh Truman, Robert and Jennifer MacPherson (Jennifers fiance Justin Filion). Phyllis will be remembered by her brothers, Alfred (Josie), Jim (Betty) and by her sisters, Kay, Betty, Vera, Marie and Roseann (Wally) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mom was a very active person, enjoying golf, gardening, camping, fishing and curling. She also loved to read, do crosswords and cryptograms, play cards, scrabble and many other games with the family. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the Teulon Hospital, the staff in Emergency at HSC and mostly the wonderful staff of A4 at HSC, your compassion and dedication were very much appreciated. Donations may be made to a charity of ones choice or CancerCare Manitoba. At Moms request, a small memorial service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., at 2:30 p.m., on Tuesday, February 27.
