Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCORINNE DIANE CYR (nee THOMAS) March 16, 1952 - February 22, 2001 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Corinne Cyr. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on February 22, 2001. Corinne was pre-deceased by her parents, Peter and Edna Thomas. Corinne is survived by her beloved husband of 23 years Louis; sons, George, Henry and Micheal and daughter Rachel. Also by her brothers, Richard (Pauline) of Calgary, Jimmy, Charles (Teresa), Eric (Rose), Larry (Bernadette), David (Alice), Dale, Aunts and an Uncle. She will also be remembered by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Corinne was an active member of her community. She was on the David Livingstone Parent Council for 12 years. Corinnes motto was "Children come first". Corinne was also a member of the Community United for Change Foot Patrol - Code name Mama Bear. She was also a part of the Aboriginal Womens Group. Corinne was the founder of the David Livingstone Pow Wow Club. She spent many hours raising funds through bingos. Most recently working with the "Dreams of Tomorrow" girls group. She was also a member of the Westland Foundation. Corinne was a devoted wife and mother to her children and was loved by all. She will be greatly missed and sadly mourned. Prayers will be held at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St., on Tuesday, February 27 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral at Bardal February 28, at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Traverse Bay to follow prayers. Pallbearers will be nephews, David Thomas Jr., Billy Joe Thomas, Lee Thomas, Rick Gowler, Chuck Regnier, and Remi Bonneville. Bardal Funeral Home in care of arrangements 774-7474.
