GIONET October 12, 1937 - February 25, 2001 On Sunday, February 25, 2001, our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, Gerald Joseph Gionet, went to the hands of our Lord at the age of 63. He was predeceased by his father Ermile; mother Lucie; sons, Darryl and Eugene. He leaves to mourn, his children, Debbie (Gilles), Gerald (Elizabeth), Terry, Sylvia (Carl), Simonne, Michael (Terry), Marcella (Bennie) his brothers and sisters; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dad was a hardworking man, who at the age of 17 became an Ironworker. He was proud member of the International Association of Bridge Structural and Ornamental Ironworkers, Local 728 for over 33 years. He was also a dedicated family man who was proud of each of his children. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Hartley and the wonderful staff and friends at Central Park Lodge (especially, those on the 3rd Floor) for the care and compassion given to our Dad and our family during this time. Prayers will be held on Thursday, March 1 at 7:00 p.m. at Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 548 Home St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m., also at the church. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery. Dad, God saw you suffering and called you home, May you rest now in Eternal Peace, We all love you, so very much.
