FRANK M. PALUCK Suddenly, on Saturday, February 24, 2001, Frank, dearly beloved husband of Nettie (Bakuska). Frank was born in Pelly, Sask., September 23, 1925 and came to Winnipeg in 1939. He attended St. Nicholas and Isaac Newton Schools. Frank served in the Canadian Army Signals Corps and later in the Reserves. After graduating Commercial College, he was employed with CPR Accounting. After 43 years, he took early retirement, partly to pursue his interest in Real Estate. Frank was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, a member of the choir, The Mens Club and St. Nicks Seniors Club. He belonged to the Fr. Filipow Council of the Knights of Columbus. Frank served on the Building Committee of Immaculate Heart of Mary School, for which he received a Papal Award. Frank and Nettie enjoyed their busy retirement years, especially the happy times spent visiting and travelling with their best friends, Ed and Anne Levy. Besides his loving wife of 49 years, Frank is survived by five children and nine grand-children; son David and his children, Jonathan, Catherine, Matthew and Jeremy; son Leonard (Heather) daughter Alice Kashty (Myron) and their children, Alarice and Arianna; daughter Elaine (Richard Didora) and their children, Teresa, Paul and Ricky; and daughter Caroline Edwards (John). Also left to mourn are his brother Nestor (Jennifer) sister Lucy Rostkowski (Stanley) numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his father Nick and mother Katherine (Cherewyk). Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 1 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 2 also at the church with a Basilian Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Lorne and Daniel Paluck, Neil Rostkowski, Douglas Bakuska, Greg Walker and Jonathon Paluck. In lieu of flowers, donations in Franks memory may be made to the St. Nicholas Church Maintenance Fund. "Deep in the heart of me, Thats where youll always be.
