ELSIE RECKSIEDLER Elsie Recksiedler (nee Janke), passed away on Saturday February 24, 2001 at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel, daughter-in-law Marty, five sisters, and four brothers. Surviving are five children, Myrtle (Art) Ganske, Irene (Edwin) Pokrant, Earl (Ruby), Ervin (Eleanor), and Audrey (Ross) Feeney; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born on October 3, 1909 and was raised in Rosenfeld. She married Daniel on October 14, 1931 and they farmed in Sewell until 1963 when they moved to Morris. Mom enjoyed her years at the Parkside Villa, and when her health failed she moved to the Red River Valley Lodge. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 28 at the Lutheran Church of the Cross in Morris, with interment in the Sewell Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Fraser, and the Lodge staff for the dedicated care and compassion she received. If friends so desire, the family asks donations be made to the Lutheran Church of the Cross Memorial Fund, Box 716, Morris; or the Red River Valley Lodge Quiet Room Fund, Box 507, Morris, Mb. R0G 1K0. The funeral arrangements are in the care of Morris Funeral Home, 746-2451.
