It is with great sadness we announce the quiet passing of a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend on Saturday, February 24, 2001. Ed is survived by Margaret, his loving wife of 65 years; son David and his wife Marlene; grandchildren, Shannon Johnson (Bill), and Donnie Montague (Blaine) and great-grandson James Johnson. His grace and humour touched the lives and hearts of many people. Ed was employed with Monarch Life Assurance Company in Winnipeg for 44 years, retiring in 1973 and moved to Mission, B.C. in 1975. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, February 28 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Andrews United Church, 7756 Grand Street, Mission, B.C., Rev. Martin Reid officiating. Tributes, if desired, may be made to the charity of ones choice. Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home in care of arrangements. 604-826-9548.
