CECIL JAMES "JIM" ROWE July 10, 1930 - February 25, 2001 Surrounded by his loving family, Jim Rowe passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves to cherish his memory his children; Karina, Peter (Jill) and Nuala (Gord) his beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Elizabeth, Danielle and Orlagh; his former wife Mary Entwistle; his sisters Iris Tuff and Alice Baker; as well as numerous nieces and nephews in England. Jim was born in London, England, and immigrated with his family to Winnipeg in 1965. He worked at Federal Pioneer Ltd. (Pauwels) until his retirement in December 1998. He was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion- Fort Garry Branch 90. Dad was a loving father and grandfather. Family was very important to him throughout his life and we are comforted that he is now reunited with his loved ones that had gone on before. A Celebration of Jims life will take place on Friday, March 2 at 1:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley Street. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Maurice Shnider for his daily visits to dad in the hospital. Thank you also to the nursing staff on the 5th floor of the Victoria General Hospital and the staff of the Oncology department. In keeping with dads unselfish ways and generous spirit, flowers are gratefully declined.
