Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory(LAURA) AILEEN FLETCHER (Laura) Aileen Fletcher passed away on February 25, 2001, in Winnipeg, MB. Aileen was predeceased by her husband Vern Fletcher; her parents, Bruce and Dorothy Jewison; her brother Wilfred Jewison and sister-in-law Selby Jewison; her sister Myrtle Britton and brother-in-law Art Britton; and her foster brother Jack Polson and wife Mary Polson. Aileen is survived by her nephew Don Jewison and wife Gail Roberts; great-nieces, Karen Peterman and husband Mark Peterman and Gillian Roberts-Jewison, all of Winnipeg. Nieces, Jacqueline Allen and husband Ian Allen (Vancouver, BC) and Annabelle Lee and husband Wallace (Surrey, BC) aunt Nellie Bend (Surrey, BC) and two goddaughters, Geraldine Abbott and husband Gary (Nanaimo, BC) and Jocelyn Barnard and husband Warren (Winnipeg). Aileen was born on August 19, 1910, in Poplar Point, MB. She married Robert Vernon Fletcher on June 29, 1942. She will be missed by all who knew her for her liveliness, strength, and generosity. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service was held at St. Aidans Anglican Church, 274 Campbell at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, with Rev. Canon Dr. Murray Henderson officiating. The family wish to thank the staff of Grace Hospital, Heritage House, Central Park Lodge on Poseidon Bay, and Misericordia Place for their care of Aileen.
