MARGARET LYNN MURRAY Lynn passed away on February 25, 2001 in her sleep at home with her family. Lynn courageously accepted her condition of ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease) for over 12 years. She was cheerful and always tried to make the situation easier for everyone else by always having a smile and never complaining of the tremendous difficulty of her illness. Lynn was extremely kind and generous to everyone and had a wonderful sense of humour. Her love for her family was boundless, and especially for her daughter, Dagan. It was the strength of that love for daughter, family and countless friends that allowed her the courage to carry on for such a long time despite her illness. Every moment with Lynn was precious indeed. Words cannot express how much we will all miss her. She is survived by her daughter, Dagan; sister Nancy of Winnipeg; her mother Muriel; cousin Beatrice of Victoria; her husband Herb Brand and his family; and her many wonderful friends. She was predeceased by her father Bill of Victoria. The family would like to thank the entire ALS team at Deer Lodge Hospital, including Diana Rasmussen, as well as Gloria Sim, and the many caring home care workers, including Rebecca, Asti, Yobi and Miram. Their kindness and support allowed Lynn to maintain the independence and dignity that were so very important to her. Cremation has already taken place. A Memorial Service will be held in the summer of 2001 at Royal Oak Cemetery in Victoria, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the ALS Society of Manitoba.
