JOHN MICHAEL SWIDERSKI Suddenly on February 23, 2001 at Grace General Hospital, John lost his brief tempestuous battle with cancer. He is predeceased by his cherished soulmate Catheryn, wife of 28 years, and beloved pet "Corky". He leaves to grieve his passing his family, including Anne and Ed Bartecki, Sylvia Bartecki, Debbie and Mark Dann, Brennan and Brittany Dann, as well as close friend David. John carried mail out of Charleswood Postal Depot for over 20 years and stood by Cathy through an arduous 12 year struggle with illness. In spite of troubles John was outgoing, warm and caring. His friendly easy manner made many friends of acquaintances, neighbours and co-workers, who will miss him. We would like to thank Dr. Harris, the staff and chaplaincy of Grace General; the "STAT" program at HSC Psychealth; and the staff of Jocelyn House; who provided much comfort and support in his final weeks. At Johns request no service will be held. Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to Jocelyn House or The Humane Society.
