EVA LANG On Tuesday, February 27, 2001, Eva Lang passed away at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 84 years. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, John (Dianne) of Red Lake, Ont., Robert of Winnipeg; daughters, Barbara (Wayne) Martin of Edmonton, Alta., Susan (Jerry) Peters of Dryden, Ont.; grandchildren, Kyra, John, Paxton, Cory, Sherry, Tyler, Brittni, Crystal, Lisa, Lindsay, Tammy, Tracy and Theresa and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Olive Smith, Lydia Smith, Betty Baron and brother Gusty Smith, all of Winnipeg. Eva was predeceased by her husband John. Eva lived many years in Red Lake, Ont., and upon returning to Winnipeg, became a longtime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Evas greatest joy in life was her familyshe took special pride in all her grandchildren. Friends may call from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 28 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey St. entrance. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 708 McCalman at Grey Street, with the Reverend Richard Kruesel officiating. Burial at Brookside Cemetery. A very special thanks to our brother Bob for his love, support and care of Mom over the last several years.
