Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDNA MAY BOYCEY (nee GRAHAM) Edna May Boycey passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, MB on February 18, 2001, with her family at her side, at the age of 63 years young. Edna leaves to mourn her beloved husband of 43 years, Jerry; son Brian of Thompson, MB; daughter Barbara (Ted Uhryniuk) of Brandon, MB; and cherished grandson Cole; sisters, Susan Magill, Winnipeg, Violet Nichols (Don), St. Walburg, SK, Ruby May (Herb), Onanole, MB, Margaret Sainsbury (Ron), Winnipeg; and brothers, Laurie Graham (Donalda), Mafeking, MB, Vennard Graham, Winnipeg, Jay Graham, Suffield, AB, Robert Graham (Annie), Lethbridge, AB, and Harvey Graham (Margaret), Minitonas; and many nieces and nephews who will forever miss her. Edna was predeceased by her father Howard; mother Annie; sisters, Alydian Morran, Marjorie Magill and Annie Bjornson; and brothers, Richard, Neil, Mervin, and Norman. Edna was born July 16, 1937 in the Municipality of Minitonas on her parents farm. She was raised with 16 brothers and sisters with whom she was very close all her life. Edna moved to Churchill in 1957 where she met her partner in life, Jerry. They married in 1958. In March of 1961 they moved to Lynn Lake, MB, where they started their family. In 1972 Jerry moved to Leaf Rapids, MB, to work at the Ruttan Mine and Edna and children followed in the summer of 1973 when housing became available. Edna was a lover of the great outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and berry picking. Edna was renowned for her cooking and baking. Over the years she was employed at various camps as a cook. She also drove taxi both in Lynn Lake and Leaf Rapids, and was a bus driver for Northern Bus Lines. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Ednas name, to the Arthritis Society, 386 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R6. A memorial service took place at the Grace Hospital on February 19. Edna was laid to rest on February 23 at the Leaf Rapids Cemetery. She will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, and the Leaf Rapids Health Centre. Their kindness will not be forgotten.
