Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA JASENOVEC It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dearly loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Maria Jasenovec. With Gods grace she was taken from us peacefully in her 90th year, February 27, 2001. Born 1911 in White Russia, Maria left her homeland with her late husband Ivan during the Second World War to Germany. From Germany they travelled to Sao Paulo, Brazil, before arriving in Canada with all seven of their daughters in 1957. She was a faithful follower of the Russian Orthodox Church, a devoted wife, and loving mother to seven daughters, 17 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. Admired for her strength, wisdom, and loving nature, Maria will be sadly missed by her daughters Maria, Valentina, Luba, Lida, Nadja, Vera and Sophie, her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend Prayers on Thursday, March 1 at 7:00PM at the Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Resurrection, 732 Alfred Avenue. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 2 at 10:00 AM also at the church with Rev. Fr. Raphael Vereshack officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Resurrection at 732 Alfred Ave., Winnipeg, Man., R2W 1Y9. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements - 586-8044.
