SARAH GERTRUDE ANDREWS Sarah Andrews, 89, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2001, at Oakwood Terrace. Surviving are daughter Nancy (Mrs. Gordon Warnica), Fall River; sons, David (Suzanne), Oakville, Ont., Bruce, Dartmouth, Norman (Kathleen), Halifax; sister Mary Ferguson, Ballymena, Northern Ireland; grandchildren, Craig, Danielle, Megan, Andrew, Jeffrey, Timothy, Joshua and Katie. She was predeceased by her husband George; brothers, James, Robert, Thomas; sisters, Jeanette and Margaret. Born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (Cunning) Lowry. She came to Canada at 18 and lived in Winnipeg. After marrying she eventually settled in Lachine, Que., lovingly raising her family of four children. Sarah was an active member of Summerlea United Church and later Woodlawn United. She was a member of the IODE Dartmouth and a supporter of the Canadian Association of Community Living. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home. A private family memorial service will be held at Oakwood Terrace. Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Nova Scotia.
