LOIS MAE GREENBERG (KOWALSON) After a courageous and lengthy fight with cancer, our mother Lois passed away peacefully and with dignity on February 27, 2001. As was the case throughout her life, she was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her death. Beloved daughter of Molly and the late Samuel Kowalson, loving mother of Adrienne (Brian) Douglas, Judi (Joel) Shuster, Jeffrey (Laurel Mansfield) Greenberg, and Alan (Tara) Greenberg; dear grandmother of Samuel and Baillie Shuster, Matthew Douglas and Zachary and Gabrielle Greenberg who adored her for her kindness, gentleness, generosity, compassion, ready smile and her young at heart spirit! She also leaves to mourn her too short life, her brother Aaron (Margaret) Kowalson and nephews, Michael, Joshua and Daniel Kowalson; friend Lawrence (Sharon) Greenberg; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Esther and Murray Shuster; and many loving cousins, friends and acquaintances. Lois was actively involved in the travel business for many years and took great pride in and satisfaction from her work. A passionate lover of life and her family, she especially enjoyed the many trips with her children and grandchildren and the happy and memorable times they experienced. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers and if friends so desire, donations may be made in Loiss memory to CancerCare Manitoba or the charity of your choice. Lois especially appreciated the care she received from all the nurses and staff who tended to her needs on Ward W5 Womens Pavilion and E3 - Riverview Health Centre for their love, compassion and attention which was exceptional. She also wished to gratefully thank Dr. Robert Lotocki for his care and friendship over the last four years. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 1 at 3:30 p.m. at Rosh Pina Synagogue, 123 Matheson Ave. Interment to follow at Rosh Pina Memorial Park.
