SILVIO MASCARIN December 18, 1909 - March 2, 2001 It is with regret and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Silvio Mascarin on March 2, 2001 at the Tache Centre at the age of 91. Born in Azzano Decimo on December 18, 1909, he arrived in Canada at the age of 17. A tailor by trade, he took great pride in his workmanship and was employed by several establishments over the years. He looked forward to and enjoyed his many return visits to Italy, where he maintained his ties with family and friends. Silvio will be fondly remembered for his love of a good cigar, a glass of homemade wine, heated political discussions and spirited card games and bocce with his friends at the Fogolar Club in Anola and the Norwood Legion. He will be sorely missed by his loving family ; wife of 67 years Marie (nee Mousseau), daughters: Pat (Ted Green), Dianna (Ernie Todoruk), grandchildren: Karen (Dave) McFadyen, Chris and Brian Green; Derrick (fiancee Maria), Andrea (Niklas) and Mark Todoruk. Long-awaited for great-grandchildren: Sarah, Kailee and Jaret McFadyen. Also mourning his loss, are sister Caterina Mascarin Iesse of Italy, sister-in-law; Jeanne Mousseau and Lauria Mousseau of Winnipeg and Jackie Mousseau of Coquitlam B.C., and numerous nieces and nephews in Italy, Ontario, California, British Columbia and Winnipeg. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Tache Centre, especially those on 3ABC, who cared for Silvio with kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Silvios memory to the Tache Centre, 185 Despins Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2H 2B3.
