LESLIE LLEWELLYN DAVIS Peacefully in his sleep at the Victoria Hospital on February 28, 2001, at the age of 90 years. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Kathleen of 45 years; children, Keith (Carol), Betty-Lou Grier, Mary Ellen Derro, Rocklee (Sandra) Bogseth; brother Willis; sister Kathleen Shaw; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by both parents, sisters, Hazel Savage, Beryl Richard, Doris Smith; brother John and grandson Bradley Davis on February 29, 1992. Leslie was raised in Fort Rouge attending Lord Roberts School. He worked as a barber in his fathers shop on Osborne Street prior to serving overseas with Company B, second heavy, during the Second World War. He was employed by the CNR for over 30 years and retired as a conductor on passenger trains at the age of 65. He was a lifetime member of the B.P.O.E. (50 years) of the Fort Rouge Legion (54 years). At Leslies request cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral. A graveside service will be held in the spring. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
