ELEANOR FURRY MONTAGUE WINTEMUTE Peacefully, in her 92nd year, with her family at home, March 1, 2001. Predeceased by her husband Karl. Survived by her daughter Johanne and husband David Ferguson, Toronto; son Peter and wife Gwen Wintemute, Stonewall; grandchildren, George and wife Pia Ferguson, Rochester, NY, James Ferguson, San Francisco, CA, Debbie and Randy Schreyer, Dugald, Michael Wintemute and Tracy Iliffe, Winnipeg; Carol and Brad Lama, Toronto; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Kelley Schreyer, Benjamin Wintemute; and beloved sister Nancy Moncrieff, Winnipeg and family. Eleanor graced all who new her with her charm, humour and flare. Her love of the arts and history led her to experience many avenues of interest. Eleanor loved her pets, her garden and her verandah. We will all remember her for her gentle nature and warm personality. Eleanor always had a compliment for all. Graveside interment at St. Johns Cathedral (Anglican), 135 Anderson Avenue,Wpg, on Tuesday, March 6 at 12:00 noon followed immediately by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. in The Parish Church of St. George, 168 Wilton Street, with The Reverend Canon Tony Harwood-Jones. Special thanks to Dr. Ray Singer for his compassionate care and support and to the wonderful staff from We care who made it possible for Eleanor to remain in her home. Flowers gratefully declined.
