Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWIN COLLOM Edwin Collom, beloved husband of Marion for 30 years, passed away peacefully at home in Edmonton, AB on February 26, 2001 at the age of 67. Edwin was born in Montreal, PQ on November 18, 1933. He is survived by sons, Robert and Edward Collom; daughters, Lorraine Hamilton, Debi Tomlinson and Heidi Saj; sons-in-law, Neil Tomlinson and Gary Saj; daughter-in-law Debbie Collom; grandchildren, Loni Hamilton, Cheryl and Laura Collom, Jed and Jessie Tomlinson, Rhianna and Maya Saj, all of Winnipeg, MB; brothers, Dennis of Aurora, ON, Frank of Kingston, ON, Terry of Malone, NY; and sister Donna Adams of North Bay, ON. Edwin was also predeceased by his sister Mary. Ed served in the Canadian Armed Forces for over 20 years, including tours of duty in Viet Nam and Laos during the 1960s, working primarily in the field of health. After retiring from the Army in 1975, he worked for the government of Nova Scotia and then Alberta Health. He retired in 1995 at the age of 62. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division. Cremation has already taken place in Edmonton. A memorial service will follow in Winnipeg on Friday, March 9, 3:00 p.m. at the St. James Lutheran Church.
