DOUGLAS (REUBEN) MARSH After a short but valiant battle with cancer, Doug passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on March 1, 2001. He was predeceased by his father Reuben and his mother Alice. Doug leaves to cherish his memory his best friend Grant; his daughter Sarah (Todd) friend Carolyn (Kirk) and their son Blake; sister Marilyn and brother-in-law Chuck; niece Nancy (Rudy) nephews, Brad (Lisa) and their son Kyle, Bruce (Melissa) aunts, Eva, Mid and Helen and many cousins and friends. Dougs only regret was that he wasnt able to live long enough to see his first grandchild born. Doug was born in Selkirk, Man., on October 1, 1945, and was raised there. Over the years Doug put his hand to many things, always seeking an outlet for his myriad talents and creativity. In accordance with Dougs wishes, no service will be held. The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful and compassionate staff on the Palliative ward at St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dougs memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, Man., R3E 0V9. You never asked for favours, Yet you did them every day. You never asked for help, And yet you gave so much away. You never asked for gratitude, And yet our whole life through, Well always be so grateful, Just to have had your love and you.
