Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWAYNE MURDOCK January 21, 1973 - March 3, 2001 Accidentally on March 3, 2001, our beloved husband, father, son, and brother Wayne Murdock, age 28, of Fisher River Cree Nation passed away. Wayne leaves to cherish his memory his wife Penny; son Darian; daughter Ocean; parents, Stanford and Elsie Murdock; inlaws, Ernest and Florence Stranger; sisters, Debbie (Allan) Thompson of Peguis, Man., Rachel (Sean) Murdock of Fisher River, Man., and Nancy Harasemiw of Fisher River; brothers, Mervin (Angie) Murdock, Barry (Laura) Murdock and Keith (Debbie) Murdock all of Fisher River; sisters-in-law, Ollie (Mitch) Sinclair and Gwen (Ernest Jr.) Stevenson of Peguis, Man., nieces and nephews, Allen Jr., Jeremy, Grant, Nancy, Mae and Jackie Thompson, Mervin Murdock Jr., Earl Murdock (godchild), Nicholas, Carlson and Robbie Murdock, Kristen, Preston and Kayla Murdock (godchild), Chelsey and Sheena Murdock, Dennis Sinclair and Vestal and Vanessa Stevenson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many many friends. Wayne was predeceased by his grandparents, Winnie and Wilfred Murdock and Harry and Bella Stevenson; a sister in infancy and his cousin David Murdock. Wayne attended school in Fisher River, then went on to work for the Fisher River Cree Nation. He loved sports, especially hockey and baseball. He also enjoyed golfing, weightlifting, camping and fishing. Wayne loved his two children and loved to play with them. He was looking forward to teaching his son to skate. Wayne always enjoyed spending time with his friends. Wayne will always be lovingly remembered as "Turkey" by his family and friends. The family would like to thank Warren Garson, Wayne Mason Jr., the doctors and nurses at the Percy E. Moore Hospital, Fisher Branch R.C.M.P., Fisher Ambulance Service, the Chief and Council of Peguis First Nation and Fisher River Cree Nation, Joe and Phyllis Garson, Alex and Bev Sinclair, the ministers and Rev. Barry Bear and a special thank you to councillor Glennis Sutherland and to family and friends for all their love, support and prayers. Wake services will be held on Monday, March 5 at 8:00 p.m., at St. Matthews Anglican Church and Tuesday, March 6 at 8:00 p.m., at Stevens Memorial United Church. The Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 7 at 2:00 p.m., at Stevens Memorial United Church, Fisher River, Man., Rev. Gloria Muskego and Rev. Barry Bear officiating.
