LYDIA DOROTHEA DALKE Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Lydia Dorothea Dalke passed away at the Calvary Place Personal Care Home at the age of 91 years. Lydia was predeceased by her parents, Ewald and Emma Schlippert; one sister Elsie Perry; two brothers, Ernie and Albert and by her husband Roy. She will be lovingly remembered by her two sisters-in-law, Emma Schlippert and Ella Slippert and her cousin Emma Dalke. She was dearly loved by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Lydia was born July 1, 1909 in Winnipeg, where she remained her entire life. She worked for the T. Eaton Company for 31 years. Lydia spent many happy summers with her family at the cottage at Ponemah Beach. She was a life-time member of the Lutheran Church, first at Trinity Lutheran and later the Lutheran Church of the Cross. There will be a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 8 at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington Street. Viewing will be held at the church, prior to the service. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Calvary Place Personal Care Home, especially to Helmut and the staff of the 2nd floor, for their kind, compassionate and loving care for Lydia during her time there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Place Personal Care Home, the Lutheran Church of the Cross, or to a charity of choice. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
