Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH LILLIAN CURTIS Peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2001 at Meadowood Manor in St. Vital, Ruth Lillian Curtis died at age 73. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her brother Stan; nephew Mark and many relatives and friends. Her father Sidney; mother Hester and sister-in-law Claire predeceased her. Ruth was born in Winnipeg on December 13, 1927. Her family has been associated with Regents Park United Church for many years. Ruth faced life with courage and humour, and cared greatly for the people in her life. She was a great sports enthusiast and photographer. She loved animals and was a Rainbow Stage enthusiast. She will be remembered for her fighting spirits and great advice. Ruth was proud to have lived in St. Vital for her entire life. She recently submitted an article to the St. Vital Historical Society "Growing Up Near the Junction" which will be published in the Historian later in March. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 7 at 3:00 p.m. in the Regents Park United Church, 613 St. Marys Road with Rev. Bill Millar officiating. Service will terminate at the church. Interment will take place in St. Vital Cemetery, Friday, March 9 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Regents Park United Church, 613 St. Marys Road, R2M 3L8 or the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Road, R2L 1X3.
