Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET (PEGGY) HORAN On Sunday, March 4, 2001, surrounded by her friends at the Grace General Hospital, Peggy died peacefully in her 85 year. Peggy was born in Kildimo, County Limerick, Ireland on April 12, 1916. She married Vivien Horan of Winnipeg in Stockholm, Sweden. Peggy worked with the Canadian Embassy in Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Washington, D.C. before immigrating to Canada in 1959. She was an active member of St. Edwards Parish serving as sacristan for many years and a longtime member of the C.W.L. Peggy was predeceased by her husband Vivien in 1961. She is survived by her sister Mary, of Cork, Ireland; many nieces and nephews in Ireland, especially Patrick Feane and his wife Breda of Ballyclough who were in continual contact with Peggy during her final illness. Prayers will be said on Tuesday (Tonight), March 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 7 at 10:15 a.m. at St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington St., with Rev. Robert Polz, Rev. Msgr. Louis McCloskey and Rev. Terance McGrath concelebrating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Edwards School, 818 Arlington St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 2E2. Sincere thanks to the staff of Grace Hospital for their compassionate care.
